What's Included?

Chile and Argentina are wonderful destinations for anyone planning a comfortable and safe journey in South America. Every day while on tour, our guests will experience a unique blend of South American culture and European surroundings. These countries are indeed more "Western" in nature than their neighbours to the north - Peru, Bolivia and Uruguay.

While Chile and Argentina offer many aspects of home, any foreign destination can present challenges when it comes to getting things done on your own, so we plan these journeys as a hassle-free experience for our guests. For this journey we include many meals, all transportation within South America, all hotels, all guides and drivers, all site admission fees, tour leader assistance and a few pleasant "surprises" along the way. This approach gives our guests a carefree experience.

Meals

Breakfasts: Our guests can rest assured that breakfast is always included in the cost of our trips. At most of our hotels you will wake up to a feast including breads, rolls, pastries, yogurt, fruit, cereals and sometimes eggs, cheeses, meats and other local dishes.

Selected Lunches and Dinners: Whenever it is more convenient to eat lunch as a group we will do so and the cost is included. Usually this happens during an especially full day of sightseeing where it would be best to have lunch together and carry on. Dinners are included if we think our guests would especially enjoy a specific restaurant, usually one of our favourites, or in locations where it may be difficult to locate an acceptable restaurant.

Included meals are indicated on the detailed itineraries.

Transportation

We include all transportation whenever the group moves from one place to another. This includes comfortable minibus or vans, boats, aircraft and more.

Transfers

Unlike many companies, we include all transfers – arrival transfers from the airport to your hotel, transfers between hotels and airports during the journey and final departure transfers if required from your hotel to the airport.

Guides and Drivers

In order to appreciate each site visited we ensure that local expertise is always available. Our guides/drivers are hand-selected by us personally.

Hotel Accommodation

We include all hotels, lodges and resorts along the way.

Entrance fees, park fees, boat fees and other fees for all sites included in your tour

No need to budget extra for entrance to any of the sites mentioned in the trip itinerary.

TrailFinders Documentation and Tour Leader Support

We include a comprehensive Trip Planning Guide which is distributed about three months prior to departure (or earlier of you wish) as well as local maps, free-time recommendations and other advice dispensed along the way. As well we provide detailed instructions for your arrival in Buenos Aires, a comprehensive packing list and more. Plus we include the full support of the TrailFinders' Tour Leader and a few great surprises.

Pre-paid amounts

There are two additional items which are administered by TrailFinders staff during the journey on behalf of our guests, thereby freeing them from the hassles of finding the appropriate exact funds for specific items on demand. These amounts are collected from our guests at time of booking and while the amounts are not technically "included in the tour price" they are collected ahead of time to avoid inconveniencing our guests along the way. These items are: the group tip kitty; and, the airport departure taxes.

 

What's not included?

We do not include the following specific items in the price of our land tour.

• International airfare between Canada and South America. We are experts in international airfares and can help you decide which routing and airline would be best for you. Please call us at 613-789-1900 or 888-765-7662 and we can discuss the options with you.

• Travel Insurance premium

• Chilean reciprocity fee

As on any trip you will of course be expected to pay for your own personal expenses such as drinks, any extra meals not mentioned in the itinerary, laundry and any other items of a personal nature.
