What's Included? Egypt is a fascinating destination, especially for those of us who live in North America. On this journey, every day brings magnificent experiences, but in Egypt one can also be presented with numerous challenges when it comes to getting things done on your own. Consequently, we take this into account when designing the details of the itinerary and deciding what to include as part of the trip. For this journey we include many meals, all en-route land and river transportation, all hotels and boats, guides and drivers and driver's helpers, group luggage-handlers' fees, internal air flights, site admission fees, tour leader assistance and a few pleasant surprises along the way. This approach gives our guests a more carefree experience and reduces the hassle factor considerably.
Meals Breakfasts: At all our hotels and during the Nile Cruise you will wake up to a wonderful breakfast including breads, rolls, pastries, yogurt, fruits, cereals, egg dishes, cheeses, meats and local delicacies, fruit juices and flavourful coffees and teas. Selected Lunches and Dinners: On the Nile Cruise all meals are included. In other locations, whenever it is more convenient to eat lunch as a group we will do so and the cost is included. Usually this happens during an especially full day of sightseeing where it would be best to have lunch together and carry on. Dinners are included if we think our guests would especially enjoy a specific restaurant, usually one of our favourites, or in locations where it simply makes sense to include dinner. All included meals are indicated on the detailed itineraries.
Transportation We include all transportation whenever the group moves from one place to another. This includes comfortable minibuses, river cruise boats, vans and other boats, cars and more. We also include all domestic air flights within Egypt including Cairo-Luxor, Aswan-Abu Simbel-Aswan and Aswan-Cairo.
Transfers Unlike many other travel companies, we always include all transfers – arrival transfers from the airport to your hotel, transfers between all other airports and hotels along the way and the final departure transfers from hotel to airport.
Guides and Drivers Due to the importance of the extensive historical sites visited during this trip, we ensure that local guides are available at all locations. As well, we employ reliable, experienced and careful drivers.

Site entrance fees, boat fees and other fees for all sites included in your tour No need to budget extra for entrance to any of the sites mentioned in the trip itinerary.
TrailFinders Documentation We include a comprehensive Trip Planning Guide which is distributed about three months prior to departure (or earlier of you wish) as well as local maps, free-time recommendations and other advice dispensed along the way. As well we provide detailed instructions for your arrival in Cairo, a comprehensive packing list and more. Plus we include the full support of the TrailFinders' Tour Leader(s).
What about Group Tips? Tips for guides, drivers, luggage handlers, boat crews and various members of the general public are significant in Egypt. We administer the payment of these tips during the journey on behalf of our guests, thereby freeing them from the hassles of continually having to put their hands in their pockets. A "tip kitty" is collected from our guests at time of booking and while the "tip" amounts are not technically "included in the tour price" they are collected ahead of time to avoid inconveniencing our guests along the way.
What's not included? We do not include the following specific items in the price of our land tour.
As on any trip you will of course be expected to pay for your own personal expenses such as drinks, any extra meals not mentioned in the itinerary, laundry, any personal tips (such as to waiters or bellhops), personal local transportation during your free times and any other items of a personal nature.
