Introduction

Our recent journey through this amazing country was so successful that we decided to do it again!

Jordan has so much to offer. The archaeological, religious and historical treasures are abundant.  The Mid-east culture envelops you. The vast desert scenery is inspiring. The sea is calming. The diversity is amazing.

Jordan has been welcoming western visitors for decades. The infrastructure is well-developed, the country is peaceful, the hotels are wonderful, the transportation is good and the sites are simply magnificent.

Travel with us as part of our small group as we visit the cities, villages, deserts, museums, busy markets, historic and cultural sites and more; all in comfort and safety. We travel on private mini-buses, jeeps and camels. We share stories at happy hour. We float in the Dead Sea and swim in the Red Sea. We marvel at the ruins of Petra. We do many things you've never thought of.

On this journey, as on each of our journeys, one or more of our experienced staff rides along with the group to offer advice, to smooth any bumps in the road and to make sure your experience is the best it can possibly be.

The Journey

Our 13-day journey begins with your transfer from Amman's Queen Alia airport to the shores of the Dead Sea where we spend the first two nights. During our stay here we visit the Baptism site at Bethany Beyond the Jordan, Mount Nebo and the mosaic city of Madaba. We then head south, taking in the valley scenery of Dana Nature Reserve, the Nabatean ruins of Petra, the desert atmosphere of Wadi Rum and the beaches of Aqaba. We then return to Amman, Jordan's capital, for the final few days of the journey where we visit the old and new parts of the city as well as the Roman city of Jerash and the ruins of Ajloun and Umm Qais.
