What's Included?

The Middle East is a fascinating destination, especially for those of us who live in North America. On this journey, every day brings magnificent experiences, but you can also be presented with a few challenges when it comes to getting things done on your own. Consequently, we take this into account when designing the details of the itinerary and deciding what to include as part of the trip.

For this journey we include many meals, all en-route land transportation, all hotels, camps and boats, guides and drivers and driver's helpers, group luggage-handlers' fees, internal air flights, site admission fees, tour leader assistance and a few "surprises" along the way. This approach gives our guests a more carefree experience and reduces the hassle factor considerably.

Meals

Breakfasts: At most of our hotels you will wake up to a wonderful breakfast including breads, rolls, pastries, yogurt, fruits, cereals, egg dishes, cheeses, meats and local delicacies, fruit juices and flavourful coffees and teas.

Selected Lunches and Dinners: Whenever it is more convenient to eat lunch as a group we will do so and the cost is included. Usually this happens during an especially full day of sightseeing where it would be best to have lunch together and carry on. Dinners are included if we think our guests would especially enjoy a specific restaurant, usually one of our favourites, or in locations where it simply makes sense to include dinner.

Transportation

We include all transportation whenever the group moves from one place to another. This includes comfortable minibuses, vans, jeeps, camels and more.

Transfers

Unlike many other travel companies, we always include all transfers – arrival transfers from the airport to your hotel, transfers between all other airports and hotels along the way and the final departure transfers from hotel to airport.

Separate Guides and Drivers in all locations

Our guides and drivers are chosen from among the best.

Hotel and Cruise Accommodation in all locations

Entrance fees, park fees, boat fees and other related fees for all sites included in your tour

All fees are included.

TrailFinders Documentation

We include a comprehensive Trip Planning Guide which is distributed about three months prior to departure. Also, we often distribute local maps and other site-related information along the way. As well, we provide detailed instructions for your arrival in Amman, a comprehensive packing list and more. 

Plus we include the full support of the TrailFinders' Tour Leader(s) and a few surprises along the way.

What about Group Tips?

Tips for guides, drivers, luggage handlers, boat crew and various members of the general public are significant in the Middle East. We administer the payment of these tips during the journey on behalf of our guests, thereby freeing them from the hassles of continually having to put their hands in their pockets. A "tip kitty" is collected from our guests at time of booking and while the "tip" amounts are not technically "included in the tour price" they are collected ahead of time to avoid inconveniencing our guests along the way.

What's not included?

We do not include the following specific items in the price of our land tour.

• International airfare between Canada and the Middle East.
  We are experts in international airfares and can help you decide which routing and airline would be best for you. Our recommended air routing is included on our "Prices" page. Please call us at 613-789-1900 or 888-765-7662 and we can discuss air options with you.

• Travel Insurance premium

• Visit to Travel Medicine clinic and any vaccines or tablets

As on any trip you will of course be expected to pay for your own personal expenses such as drinks, any extra meals not mentioned in the itinerary, laundry, any personal tips if required, any personal local transportation during your free times and other items of a personal nature.
