these costs in a separate document - please
click here to see Extra Costs.
Before
booking this trip please read the
Terms and Conditions which form part of the Booking Form.

subject to adjustment up to the time that the final balance is paid
in full due to currency rate fluctuations or other cost increases.
After the tour amount is paid in full, TrailFinders will absorb any
increased costs. Participants can pay the trip balance at any time
between time of booking and final payment due date.
International Air Recommendations
We are
well aware of all airlines and all routings between Canada and
Bangkok and are available to assist you in determining your best
option. If you don't have frequent flyer points to cash in on a free
ticket, we suggest one of the three popular options shown below.
These have been created for residents of Ottawa however there
may be better routings depending on your city of residence and your
personal preference.
Prices
from Western Canada will generally be less expensive and we would be
pleased to provide a quote.
Please
note that fuel surcharges are continuing to increase weekly.
Air
Canada and Thai Airways
This option involves using Air Canada to Asia (usually Hong Kong,
Beijing, Tokyo or Seoul) via either Toronto or Vancouver then
transferring to Thai Airways or Cathay Pacific for the final leg into Bangkok. The
advantage of this option is that both carriers belong to the Star
Alliance and you will earn Aeroplan points for all segments. All
legs of this journey are in economy class. The current cost
of this option is about C$1480 plus about C$500 tax per
person. The price changes regularly so please check with us for the
latest price.

Air
Canada and EVA Airways
This option is our personal favourite since the legs flown on EVA
(the excellent airline of Taiwan) are all in Premium Economy
- a class between economy and business which offers more leg room
and a wider seat than economy class on other airlines. The legs on
Air Canada are in regular economy. This choice involves flying with
Air Canada to Vancouver and then with EVA to Taipei and on to
Bangkok. While no Aeroplan points are earned on the EVA segments,
Air Canada will credit your points for their segments. You can of
course join EVA's frequent flyer program if you wish and collect
their frequent flyer points for future use. The current cost of this
option (subject to change at any time) is about C$1850 plus about C$400
(subject to daily changes) tax per person.
Due to scheduling of EVA airlines flights, passengers would have to
arrive in Bangkok one day prior to the start of the tour and on the
return would be required to stay in Vancouver overnight. The two
additional hotel nights would have to be paid by the passenger.

Air
Canada and Singapore Airlines
This option involves Air Canada to Vancouver, then Singapore
Airlines from Vancouver to Bangkok via Singapore. Current price is
about $1700 plus about $580 tax (subject to change daily).
Most Economical Business Class Option
EVA Airways and Air Canada
This option uses the same routing and flights as shown above, except
that all segments (including AC) are in Business Class.
The fare would be approximately $4900 plus $400 tax. |
